The Assistant General Manager - Aquatics will oversee the Aquatics Department, manage staff, coordinate swim events, maintain pool operations, and support facility programs. You'll supervise 40-50 employees through 1-2 direct supervisors and handle scheduling, maintenance, safety compliance, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and supervise aquatic staff
Oversee pool operations, water safety, and equipment maintenance
Manage swim meets, calendars, contracts, and timing systems (CTS, Hytek)
Ensure policy compliance and community programming
Develop and audit department budgets
Coordinate schedules, events, and public engagement
Participate in leadership duties, events, and operations support
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience
Current Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid/Oxygen Certification
Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
Experience with timing systems (Hytek, CTS Gen 7)
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
Strong leadership, communication, and operations experience
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
Water Safety Instructor
USA Swimming/ASCA Certification
Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor
Experience with event administration & scoreboard operations

Pay: $46,760.32 - $56,313.50 per year
