As an Assistant Educator, you'll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities would include supervising and coordinating daily classroom activities, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children, and fostering healthy development through structured learning. In short, our Assistant Educator will ensure children are engaged, safe, and thriving in their early educational journey.
Summary and Responsibilities
We are looking for an Assistant Educator to act as CSI's newest team member. This person will be responsible for:
Helping children discover new interests by introducing them to art, music, sports, and other potential hobbies.
Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, and sharing.
Keeping daily records related to the care and progress of each child.
Providing direct supervision and ensuring safety and engagement during activities and outings.
Communicating effectively with parents, sharing information, discussing concerns, and facilitating conferences.
Maintaining a safe, structured, and organized learning environment.

Qualifications
Do you think you'd be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you are:Experienced in early childhood education or child development.
A strong communicator between staff, clients, and their caregivers.
Observant of individual developmental stages and growth of children.
Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain certification upon hire).
Knowledgeable about child development, classroom management, and licensing requirements.
* At least 19 years of age and hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR equivalent (12 higher education credits in early childhood education, early childhood special education, elementary education, and/or child development); OR have a high school diploma/GED and a plan to complete a CDA or equivalent.
