Black Hills State University is seeking applicants to fill the position of Assistant Director of the West River Health Science Center (WRHSC). Located at BHSU-RC, this Center is a one-stop service hub for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing or other health science disciplines.
Reporting to the Vice President for Continuing Education & Workforce Development, the Assistant Director of the West River Health Science Center will play a critical role in leading significant growth in health sciences, and specifically, nursing education for western South Dakota. The position will develop a one-stop, seamless process for students who seek a Rapid City-based baccalaureate nursing degree. This individual will oversee all marketing, recruitment, and pre-nursing curriculum offerings, will coordinate the BHSU Applied Health Science degree, collaborate with SDSU BSN programs, and serve as liaison to Western Dakota Tech's LPN and AAS-RN programs. This position will forge collaborative partnerships with Monument Health and other healthcare providers to meet the marketing and recruitment needs of the Center.

Appropriate computer, word processing, database management skills.
DUTIES
Develop pre-nursing program enrollment goals and create and implement integrated strategies and systems using a data-driven approach for enrollment growth of the pre-nursing pipeline, primarily for the Applied Health Sciences associate degree program.
Regularly collaborate with the BHSU Admissions Office to ensure program admission procedures and policies are adhered to, and to enhance effectiveness and efficiencies in enrollment processes.
Analyze inquiry, applicants, and enrolled student data for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the pre-nursing program admissions.
Manage scheduling of all pre-nursing courses at the Black Hills State University Rapid City campus, ensuring that the necessary course rotation requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, higher education, communications, student affairs, health care, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or terminal degree preferred.
