Job Summary

Children's Lighthouse is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic

Assistant Director

to support the daily operations of our school. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for early childhood education, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities:

Support the School Director in managing daily operations of the school. Ensure compliance with state licensing standards and Children's Lighthouse policies. Assist in staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and daily supervision. Conduct tours for prospective families and support enrollment growth and retention. Build positive relationships with parents through effective communication and excellent customer service. Provide guidance and coaching to teachers to ensure quality instruction and classroom management. Maintain accurate documentation for licensing, attendance, and health records. Help plan and coordinate school events, staff meetings, and training sessions. Step in as Acting Director in the absence of the Director. Promote the mission, values, and educational philosophy of Children's Lighthouse in all aspects of the school's operation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (required).

Minimum 3 years of experience

in a licensed childcare center, including administrative or leadership experience. Able to possess

Director Credential

(as required by state licensing). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of early childhood curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
