Assistant Director of Wellness



The Leland of Laurel Run, a personal care home, located in the heart of Waynesboro, is currently interviewing for compassionate and dedicated LPN to join us as our Assistant Director of Wellness. The duties will include medication distribution per doctor orders, treatments, supervision and education of fellow staff. The Assistant Director of Wellness will work closely with the Director of Wellness and the Administrator to ensure compliance with all Personal Care regulations.

As the Assistant Director of Wellness, you will assist the Director of Wellness in directing the day-to-day operations of the Personal Care Facility. To ensure each resident is provided with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's physician, support plan and as directed by your supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY:



Comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines, as applicable. Must possess at minimum an RN / LPN License. Must have 2-3 years working with dementia/ Alzheimer's clients. Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and above all, maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to the residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights. In exigent circumstances, the employee may be subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, temporary staffing shortages, etc.). Must adhere to The Leland of Laurel Run's attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook. Must maintain the highest standards in caring and servicing the needs of the residents and residents' family members and loves ones. Must adhere to all facility policies and procedures. Must be able to accommodate rotating on-call schedule Salary Position, $80,000 per year

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES



Review 24-hour report with Administrator / Director of Wellness daily Assist in dining room at meal times Assist with the completion of medical evaluations, assessments, support plans, and levels of care QA of med & treatment carts, med refrigerator and extra med cabinets. Assess change in condition with resident, update physician / family / nurse note / 24-hour shift report QA acute charting Review missed meds daily with staff Physician's rounds, process orders, update support plans Assist with Admissions / Readmissions / Transfers / Discharges Assist with podiatry schedule QA labs and consults Log weights into Point Click Care database Daily rounds in Personal Care and Memory Care Participate in training of new nursing personnel Exhibit knowledge of and effectively follow the emergency and disaster plans Interact cooperatively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and staff Maintain confidentially of residents, families, employee, and facility information Accountable for information contained in the employee handbook Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner and perform other duties requested by Personal Care Administrator and Director of Wellness

REQUIREMENTS



Possess a current license as registered nurse or licensed practical nurse form PA Department of Health. Requires frequent standing, walking, turning, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching and lifting to assist residents. Must be able to lift fifty pounds. Ability to operate office equipment. Alert and attentive to detail. Ability to remember names and places. Able to plan own work activities and manage multiple tasks. Residents always come first. Must present a neat, clean, professional appearance and demonstrate a positive, cheerful attitude towards associates and residents. Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families and visitors. Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.
