Iconic luxury hotel in Beverly Hills is looking for a rockstar Assistant Director of F & B ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF F&B $110-120k Position Overview Our Assistant Director, Food & Beverage are the food & beverage experts of our hotel! Entrusted to contribute to the Food and Beverage environment that puts the guest in the center of the universe. Enables creativity, bespoke guest recognition, Nexus optimization, forming meaning relationships, and activates the guests\xe2\x80\x99 emotional needs. On the floor presence to ensure service standards and guest engagement/problem resolution is executed. The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage also crosses borders with Rooms Division, GRC, Sales and Marketing/Catering to ensure revenue maximization. What you\'ll do A day in the life of our Assistant Director of Food & Beverage \xe2\x80\xa6 it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures.   • Continuous presences on the floor in all outlets over all shifts, AM and PM, weekday, weekend and holidays.
  • Has the ability to cover all operational roles if needed including acting as Maitre D on the door.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with all F&B policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensures NEXUS usage and optimization from all team members. Analyzes customer feedback and forms appropriate action plans. Participates in active guest recovery for missed expectations.
  • Directs team members to strive for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility. Maintains an effective training and inspection program of all F&B areas to ensure compliance of Health and Safety procedures and laws.
  • Responsible for timely and transparent communication via team daily briefings as well as active participation in leadership meetings that take place.
  • Acts as a liaison between back of house (culinary, stewarding etc.) and front of house team. Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues.
  • Supports and monitors on-boarding of new hires to receive appropriate job skills training to successfully perform job duties.
  • Monitors and manages payroll function if needed including being versed in labor results for labor critiques as necessary
  • Understands the impact of Food and Beverage operations to the overall hotel financial goal.
  • Manages controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Understanding of outlet scheduling to support, complete and approve when necessary.
  • Perform any other job related duties as required and requested
Sometimes our guests have special requests; this will include recognizing all in-House and VIP guests, building and strengthening relationships with our guests, upselling wine and wine knowledge to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
