We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Child Care Center Assistant Director to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
Assist the Center Director in overseeing daily center operations, including staff supervision, program implementation, and compliance with licensing regulations.
Support the development and execution of educational curricula that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Foster a welcoming environment for children, families, and staff by maintaining open communication and addressing concerns promptly.
Coordinate staff schedules, facilitate ongoing professional development, and promote a collaborative team culture focused on excellence in early childhood education.
Ensure health and safety protocols are rigorously followed, including sanitation practices, emergency procedures, and adherence to licensing standards.
Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, incident reports, and licensing documentation.
Engage with families through regular communication about children's progress and center activities to build strong community relationships.
Support recruitment efforts by participating in hiring processes and onboarding new team members committed to quality care.
Qualifications
Higher education teaching experience or a background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
Proven experience working with young children in a licensed child care or preschool setting.
Strong knowledge of education administration principles, licensing requirements, and best practices in early childhood development.
Prior university experience or involvement in higher education settings is a plus.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team environment.
Exceptional communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
