We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Asst. Deli Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations in our bustling deli department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Deli Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety, controlling inventory, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our guests. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily deli operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
Manage staff training, development, and scheduling to ensure efficient shift coverage.
Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste using systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure seamless food production and delivery.
Monitor customer service levels and address guest concerns promptly to enhance overall experience.
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized work environment aligned with hospitality management standards.
Experience
Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols.
Demonstrated leadership skills including team management, staff training & development, and supervising experience.
Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food production management is highly desirable.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
Previous roles may include restaurant management, hospitality management, kitchen management, or assistant manager positions in similar settings.
Knowledge of culinary practices related to deli operations or fine dining is advantageous. This position is ideal for a motivated leader eager to manage a vibrant deli environment while delivering high-quality food service experiences. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, culinary knowledge, and the ability to lead a diverse team effectively while ensuring operational excellence at all times.
