Assistant Death Scene Investigator - Standby


Pay is a minimum of $150 per callout.

Job Purpose and Objectives:

Conducts and assists in investigations at the direction of the District Attorney's office.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

Position Requirements:


Must be at least 18 years of age.

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity before job duties are assigned that might expose the candidate to KCJIS-sensitive information.

Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check within 30 days of initial employment of assignment.

Knowledge of medical investigative practices and techniques.

Prior experience in Law Enforcement or Emergency Services is preferable.

On call work involving nights, weekends, and holidays.


Certifications / Licenses:


Valid Kansas driver's license.

Trained as a death scene investigator by an accredited instructor.

Certified for CJIS/KCJIS/NCIC.
