Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, benefited Classified 5 level position. Starting salary range: $18.41 - $20.82/hourly, depending upon experience.

JOB SUMMARY:



The Creative Services & Print Production Assistant is a full-time, benefited position, responsible for coordinating printing projects and maintaining workplace efficiency in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications. This full-time role includes operating production copy machines and bindery equipment, processing print orders, monitoring and maintaining inventory of paper and print shop supplies and coordinating reorders as needed. The assistant also supports the department's graphic designers by assisting with preparing assets for digital and print purposes including mounting foam core. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and digitizing archives of printed publications, monitoring printer and job intake, and communication with print service providers, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Graphic Design & Production Support





Assist in preparing assets and materials used for print and digital communications, including directories, business cards, door signs, crisis communication cards, and ERP updates. Work with graphic designers on layouts and visual assets for student engagement pieces, club promotions, and other campus materials. Complete mail merges and assemble files for postcards and other outreach materials. Ensure all assets align with brand guidelines and accessibility expectations. Prep production-ready files and finalize materials for print and digital distribution. Support senior designers with overflow tasks, asset preparation, and special projects. Place (and pick up as needed) orders for various graphic design projects with outside vendors (swag, attire, banners, etc.) Maintain department graphic files, brand assets (simple logos and templates) Assist in maintaining marketing inventory for marketing assets and swag attire. Help monitor and check out items for groups across campus.

Print Shop Support & Backup



Serve as backup to Print Shop Technician during absences or peak workload periods. Operate Print Shop machinery such as production printers, cutters, binders, folders, and finishing equipment. Assist with prepping assets, cutting, binding, collating, and fulfilling internal print needs. Support packaging, sorting, and preparing materials for mailings.

Printer Monitoring / Job Intake



Monitor print queues and digital job submissions to ensure timely processing of incoming requests. Review files, specifications, and quantities before routing for production. Communicate with requestors to clarify incomplete or incorrect information. Troubleshoot equipment issues, submit service tickets, and coordinate maintenance with service technicians.

Large Format Printing & Mounting



Receive and process large-format print requests and materials. Print at correct dimensions, confirm color accuracy, and maintain quality standards. Mount prints onto foam core or other substrates as needed. Maintain and operate large-format equipment for consistent output.

Archive and database support



Assist with organizing and maintaining the archive. Scan, sort and categorize photos and materials Coordinate with cross-campus departments to clarify and verify archival materials as needed.

Other responsibilities may be assigned based on contemporary institutional needs.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

:





High school diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License and ability to be insured by the College's insurance provider. Two years of experience working in a fast-paced professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

:



One year of experience with office procedures and business protocol within a team setting. One year of experience in fundamental graphic design or a closely related field. Two years of experience in operating copy machines and bindery equipment.
