Job Description
Position: Assistant Veterans Service Officer
Location: North Pine Government Center, Sandstone, MN
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Performs difficult administrative work assisting veterans in accessing Federal, State and local community services and benefits, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the County Veterans Service Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet the qualifications of a County Veteran Services Officer as identified in Minnesota Statutes 197.601 and have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license. Must become a fully accredited VSO within one year. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with veterans and experience with standard office equipment and procedures. A copy of form DD214 must be submitted.
CLASSIFICATION: Assistant County Veteran Services Officer
PAY GRADE: Grade 9 - $29.41 - $31.29/hour starting DOQ (2023)
RATING METHOD: The hiring process will include a formal interview and may include testing and/or other methods of selection. CLOSING DATE: Wednesday, April 26, 2023
