Eagle Eye Produce is a premiere grower shipper with more than 30,000 acres under cultivation. We grow in multiple states in the United States as well as several locations in Mexico. Our focus is to provide our customers with a year-round supply of the products we grow. These items include several Potato varieties including organics, Onions, Watermelon and Nogales Vegetables (Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Cucumbers). Position Summary:


As a key member of the Accounting team you will support the Controller and CFO in providing accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technology skills as well as a positive and helpful attitude. We are looking for a leader who will generate results through helping every member of our team succeed.

Required Skills / Competencies

Knowledge Areas:

Must display excellent skills with personal computers and various accounting software, as well as have an advanced working skill level with Excel Strong working knowledge of Famous software is preferred Must have excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal, and ethical conduct skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Technical/Communication Skills:

Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive and helpful attitude in a high-pressure environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, Masters/CPA/CMA preferred 4-5+ years professional accounting experience Experience in cash and accrual accounting with knowledge of GAAP, operational efficiency, AP/AR, credit/collections, budgets, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process including making adjusting entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements Assist with annual budgets, monitor actual results and investigate significant variances Track fix asset purchases and reconcile asset and depreciation accounts Help establish internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements Supervise the day-to-day activities of the front desk's receptionist Assist the controller with implementing improvements to the ABBYY process and ensuring timely verification of ABBYY invoices. Oversee the vendor creation process, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, and timely creation of vendors. Ensure the timely creation of Quickpays and Advances, and compliance with related policies. Assist the controller in overseeing invoices in Laserfiche, ensuring they are assigned to the correct people, placed in the appropriate folders, and processed in a timely manner.

Expected Hours of Work:

This position requires approximately 40 hours per week, as needed, to meet the demands of the business and complete the responsibilities of this position

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a times.

Travel:

Upon requested by manager.
