Job Description

Customer Satisfaction:




Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.

Safety:




Ensure a safe work environment is maintained, appropriate safety systems/processes are utilized, conduct audits per individual project, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and other state/federal safety and environmental laws Assist with inspection or review projects to monitor compliance with Harris and OSHA safety requirements.

Closeout:




Review, organize, and distribute Contract Documents (drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, Construction Bulletins, etc.) and shop drawings/submittals to appropriate team members (e.g. Harris project team, subcontractors, fab shop and vendors). Administer/update progress drawings and as-built drawings. Administer project closeout documentation including Operation and Maintenance manuals, startup reports, owner training and punch lists.

Documentation:




Assist in the identification, tracking, and reporting of changes to original scope of work. Assist in drafting, submitting, and tacking RFIs and their corresponding responses. Attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes. Distribute and log activities for the team such as drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, Construction Bulletins, etc.). Assist in the administration of project specific quality control program and compile documentation. Maintain equipment procurement logs. Assist in management and tacking of tool and equipment rentals. Track all phases of construction projects - due dates, personnel assigned, parts orders, hours expended by task (cost code), subs to Harris, and phases of the project. Identify, track, and report changes to original scope of work, pricing requests, change orders, RFIs, and field orders. Assist with obtaining needed permits or licenses. Track and price change orders and submissions.

Financial:




Attend pre-bid, turnover and preplanning meetings as required. Be aware of monthly figures, taking proactive action to prevent losses and maximize profitability. Assist with tracking labor productivity. Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to estimate projects. Perform basic estimating skills utilizing estimating software. Assist in producing and population of scope/proposal letter Order materials and/or services and coordinate shipping/delivery with field team as necessary.

What we're looking for in you




Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related preferred. 2+ years of experience in the building & construction industry Strong understanding of mechanical systems Ability to read and comprehend construction documents Business administration and management principles. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.

Pay Range: $51,177 - $76,765 per year



The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
