Assistant Construction Manager

Position Summary



The

Assistant Construction Manager

supports the Construction Manager and Project Management team in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction operations and strong organizational skills to manage documentation, scheduling, and field coordination.

Key Responsibilities



Assist the Construction Manager in all phases of project execution, including scheduling, procurement, and coordination of subcontractors. Conduct site inspections and support quality control efforts to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards. Maintain daily project documentation, including progress reports, meeting notes, and photo logs. Help manage project budgets, cost tracking, and change order documentation. Coordinate materials delivery and ensure proper inventory and site logistics. Communicate effectively with field teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients. Assist with the preparation of project closeout documents, punch lists, and warranties. Promote and enforce company safety policies on job sites. Support pre-construction activities, including estimating and reviewing bid proposals when needed.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction or project coordination preferred. Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and documentation. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Pay: $4,614.00 - $5,557.00 per month
