JOB SUMMARY




Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and support to designated areas of the agency. The Assistant Clinical Director ensures that client services and agency operations are delivered in alignment with clinical standards, organizational policies, and regulatory guidelines. This role fosters a collaborative, client-centered environment that promotes recovery, accountability, and trauma-informed care across all areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Provide leadership and direct supervision to areas of Hope Haven Inc, including oversight of daily workflows, ensuring equitable distribution of caseloads, and supporting the maintenance of timely and accurate documentation. Conduct regular supervision and check-ins with direct reports to address performance, provide guidance, and support professional development. Assist with staff onboarding, orientation, and training in collaboration with program leadership. Review and audit treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation to ensure clinical quality, accuracy, and compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards. Model professional, ethical, and therapeutic interactions with clients by promoting respect, structure, and consistency. Provide intervention and support in client crises as necessary. Collaborate with all teams to promote a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to care that addresses clients' comprehensive needs. Assist in developing and managing staff schedules to ensure consistent 24-hour coverage, including addressing unexpected absences or staffing needs during emergencies. Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards, confidentiality regulations (including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2), and applicable licensing requirements. Partner with leadership to identify and implement strategies for service delivery improvements and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Lead debriefings and actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to promote effective communication, care coordination, and operational continuity. Monitor clinical KPIs and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives within the clinical department. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to overall organizational success.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree required in psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a closely related Human service field is required. Must hold a full license (e.g., LCAS, LCSW, LMFT) A minimum of five years of professional experience in a substance use treatment or behavioral health environment is required. Demonstrated experience in staff supervision or team leadership within a clinical or residential setting is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and foster a collaborative working environment. Collaborate with the establishment of a positive work environment. Demonstrate a willingness to assist others with tasks and provide support to other program staff with the goal of developing positive working relationships. Proven ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and make timely, well-informed decisions in high-pressure environments. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, professional integrity, and strict adherence to confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage internal teams, clients, families, and external stakeholders. Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
