Responsible for supervision of the Maintenance Department operations and personnel in the absence of the Chief and/or the Assistant Chief Engineer. Responsible for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the entire Hotel and grounds. Proactively ensure Guest Satisfaction. Lead by Example. Responsible for maintaining in excellent repair all property equipment, buildings and grounds, ensuring both functionality and esthetics are taken care of. Duties may involve but are not limited to HVAC, plumbing, floor replacement, painting, dry wall and texture work, tile installation and appliance repair, exterior decks and stair replacement and boiler maintenance. Proactively do whatever necessary in accordance with Company policies, OSHA guidelines and procedures to ensure Guest Satisfaction.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership/Management:
> Actively supervise, and direct engineering personnel.
> Complete all administrative documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
> Motivate, coach, counsel and train staff as needed.
> Resolve conflicts between team members
> Carry out any reasonable request by Management
> Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure that equipment continues to run
smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of
buildings do not deteriorate.
Guest Satisfaction:
> Continuously evaluate and improve the appearance of the hotel buildings, landscaping, parking lots, pools and common areas > Assist the GM in resolving Guest complaints concerning Maintenance
> Repair or replace defective equipment parts.
> Repair, replace woodwork, doors, trim, windows and stucco.
> Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels and replace filters.
>Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, power drills,
saws, impact drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments, AC/DC meters and electronic testing devices.
