This job is 2-3 days a week, Friday for sure and then an additional 1-2 days if applicant is interested, likely a Wednesday (though that is possibly flexible.) 2pm-midnight. Position goes to 4 days a week in April when Farmers Market high season starts.
The job is assisting the bread baker with forming and baking bread, in addition to other tasks such as using our sheeter to fold laminated doughs, cutting out, baking, and decorating gingerbread cookies, rolling, boiling, and baking bagels, and other tasks as they come up.
Experience in a commercial kitchen of some sort is not strictly necessary, but definitely strongly preferred. Experience working with bread and dough is also a huge plus, though not a requirement.
