Are you a proven leader passionate about safety, talent development, and efficient logistics? In this key role, you will partner closely with the Branch Manager to ensure the effective management of our Route Drivers and critical customer deliveries. You will be the driving force behind operational excellence, staff growth, and our unwavering commitment to safety.
I. Safety Leadership & Compliance:
Inspire a Safety Culture:
Champion Airgas' Safety Pledge and 12 Life Saving Rules, ensuring a world-class safety environment.
Drive Behavior:
Offer effective coaching to elevate associates' safety practices and proactively investigate incidents, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure Compliance:
Oversee training and recordkeeping to meet all regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, EPA, DOT).
II. Personnel & Talent Development:
Team Leadership:
Directly lead and supervise Route Drivers, aligning operations with organizational policies.
Build the Future:
Partner with HR on recruitment, staff development, performance management, and retention strategies to maintain optimal staffing levels.
Growth Focused:
Delegate tasks to enhance business efficiency while fostering staff growth and handling performance feedback and complaints.
III. Operational & Business Excellence:
Efficiency Management:
Ensure efficient cost management and optimized resource allocation.
Sales Promotion:
Collaborate on promoting sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Facility Oversight:
Ensure the local facility and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
We are seeking a candidate who can blend strong operational leadership with a commitment to safety and customer service.
Education:
Associates' Degree in Business, Management, Accounting, or a related field, oran equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
Experience:
+
Supervisory Experience
with a proven ability to effectively manage personnel issues (coaching, disciplinary action, performance reviews).
+ Demonstrated
Retail Experience
focused on providing superior customer service and improving sales.
Critical Requirement:
Must possess a valid
CDL - Class A or B
, including
HazMat endorsement
and
airbrakes
.
Bonus Experience:
Experience in the welding/safety supply industry is a significant plus!
