We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Bakery Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks in food production and preparation, ensuring high-quality standards are met in all culinary creations. Your expertise in baking, cake decorating, and food safety will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and cakes according to established recipes and standards. Decorate items for our case, ensuring visual appeal for customer satisfaction. Package finished products for distribution while maintaining quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients and addressing their needs effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all products produced.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or pastry roles is preferred but not required. Must be able to work mornings and closing shifts (bakery closes at 6pm) Must be available to work weekends Proficient in food preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary practices. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for handling ingredients. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
