Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our after school elementary children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about children, recreational activities, mindfulness, with a focus on helping the social and emotional development of each individual child.

Duties:
- Organize and implement engaging activities to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for children between the ages of five and ten
- Coordinate activities with other staff members, organize and teach group activities tailored to the needs and interests of school-aged children.
- Provide support with activities and encourage independence
- Collaborate with staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment for each child
- Assist in the social and emotional development of each individual child on a daily basis and provide positive feedbackbased on the individual needs of each child enrolled in the program.

Skills:
- Experience with child care, recreational sports, or related fields pertaining to children ages 5-10 years of age.
- Knowledge of mindfulness, yoga or social and emotional learning components for school-aged children.
- Strong behavior management skills with a creative approach to organizing activities and engaging children in activities who have strong-willed personalities.
- Understanding of social work principles in a childcare setting.
- Familiarity with the emotional and behavioral development of school aged children

Pay starts at $17 an hour and goes up depending on experience

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
