We are looking for someone to join Team Yuma as a Asset Management Analyst, working with the Public Works department. The ideal candidate will perform technical duties maintaining asset data utilizing Enterprise Asset Management software (EAM).
Under general supervision, this job classification is responsible for assessing and managing the Public Works department's assets and maintaining the Asset Management Program. Assists with strategic evaluation of projects. Creates technical maps and drawings and updates the technical database for infrastructure projects.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:Performs technical duties maintaining asset data utilizing Enterprise Asset Management software (EAM).
Analyzes and utilizes data to generate reports.
Works with administrative staff and the management team to provide administrative support at a professional level.
Uses specialized equipment in the field to accurately locate, maintain, & track new and existing Public Works assets for use in Geographic Information System (GIS), EAM, & AutoCAD software.
Provides support on asset management-related activities for the Department.
Reviews and updates drawings, maps, project files, and Geographic Information System (GIS) database for Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), utility improvements, sewer and storm drains, traffic control, and other public works assets.
Adheres to safety procedures in work areas and in performance of work assignments; promotes a culture of safety.
Collaborates with the department's front office staff on 3-1-1 initiatives to improve response workflows and customer service.
Supports the relationship between the City and the public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors, and City staff; promotes the City's goals and priorities, vision, values and the "Yuma Way", and complies with all City policies and procedures.
Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and City information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one (1) year of asset and CMMS management or related database management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of:
City policies and procedures.
Asset management principles and practices, EAM, GIS, and standard software.
Business application software such as MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Advanced computerized systems utilized in the Public Works department.
Skill in:
Interpreting and applying technical standards and procedures, Federal and State rules and regulations, and City policies and procedures.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
Operating a personal computer utilizing standard and specialized software.
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Reading, understanding, and manipulating geographic information in a variety of data formats.
License and Certification Requirements
A valid Arizona State Driver's license is required. Additional training and/or certifications may be required.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. On occasion, the employee will be in the field with moderate physical requirements; may be exposed to safety hazards including extreme weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and cold, dangerous chemicals, biological hazards, confined spaces, and dangerous tools and equipment.
