JOB DESCRIPTION

The Models Portfolio Management Team drives one of Multi-Asset Solutions' (MAS) fastest-growing investment verticals providing comprehensive solutions to wealth managers, independent broker-dealers, and RIAs. As a single-access-point to JPMAM, Models offer clients advice on MAS's asset allocation views and recommend JPMorgan funds to express those views. Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager play a key role in developing investment strategies, constructing portfolios, and delivering performance for clients. The team manages ~$20bn in AUM across 500+ portfolios with diverse investment styles, including Tactical, Strategic, Income and Absolute Return Portfolios.


As a Portfolio Manager within the Models team you will help design, implement and manage portfolios across a variety of investment styles. You will be working with our research partners to formulating investment views and help implement them in portfolios. Additionally, you will help clients customize investment solutions to their needs, and represent the team in articulating market views and portfolio positioning.

Job Responsibilities

Portfolio Construction & Management:

Design, construct, implement, and manage multi-asset portfolios. Ensure portfolios are tailored to client-specific benchmarks, risk profiles, and investment outcomes. Identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio risks using quantitative and qualitative methods.

Performance Monitoring:

Track portfolio performance, analyze attribution, and adjust to optimize returns and manage risk.Ensure consistency across investments with similar investment outcomes.

Market Research,

Investment Decision-Making, and Asset Allocation

: Analyze data and markets, leveraging both MAS' quantitative and qualitative research to develop and help drive investment decisions across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives). Stress-test team investment views in order to gain / recertify conviction. Work closely with Manager Research team to understand manager utility, performance and investments.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, including research, manager research, and independent risk, to enhance portfolio outcomes.

Client Engagement:

Communicate investment strategy, portfolio positioning, and performance to clients and stakeholders. Deliver customized investment solutions to meet complex client needs, including bespoke mandates and custom models.

Create Scale via quantitative tools

: Find opportunities to create tools (via python, tableau, etc.) to scale the PM team's capabilities.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

5+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, or related roles. Strong understanding of multi / single asset investing, asset allocation, and risk management principles. Programming skills (Python, R, VBA) for portfolio analytics. Proficiency in portfolio analytics tools and financial modeling (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet, Excel). Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients. Analytical mindset with strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

CFA or other relevant professional designation, preferred. Familiarity with alternative investments (private equity, real assets), preferred
