of Production Line Worker

A Production Worker is responsible for helping assemble and prepare products for shipment. Their duties include placing raw materials or products into manufacturing machines to aid the assembly process, packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments and completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production.

Production Worker job duties and responsibilities

To work in a fast paced, repetitive motion production area by preparing the product to a sellable form Monitor the efficiency of the production line to ensure timely load and shipment Assemble and prepare goods for shipment Maintain proper storage for material and product inventory in warehouses Organize inventory in an easy-to-access process Utilize machinery such as forklifts to load orders Maintain the quality and upkeep of warehouse equipment including machinery Move materials or completed products and packages to established locations Satisfactory attendance and job performance must be maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures

Position Requirements:

In addition to meeting the basic qualifications for new employees, the employee must also meet the following requirements:

Able to work in cold temperatures 32 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit Able to work in wet, moist conditions Able to grasp, reach, push and pull Able to lift 20 lbs., and occasionally 50 lbs. or more, utilizing proper lifting techniques Able to stand for long periods of time Able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment at all times May be required to work long hours, holidays or weekends May require the use of knives and/or scissors
