The Assembler - Instruments, Probes & Standards is responsible for assembling electronic products in accordance with written instructions, drawings, and diagrams. This role supports production operations by ensuring instruments, probes, and standards are assembled, repaired, and tested to quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble electronic products according to written work instructions, drawings, and schematics.
Perform component insertion and soldering of components or subassemblies.
Complete final assembly of instruments, probes, and standards.
Perform repairs on probes as required.
Identify and report component, material, or equipment defects to the Production Supervisor to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) or electronic equipment.
Organizational Relationships
Reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
The Production Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret electronic component symbols and value markings.
Manual dexterity for light mechanical and final assembly tasks.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, soldering equipment, and calibration tools.
Familiarity with the use of multi-meters and other basic electronic testing equipment.
Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
