This position will report to the Production Manager, and the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and professional manufacturing team. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB


Assembles by hand or using hand tools or portable powered tools or operates equipment as necessary to produce or process products.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Loads and unloads previously setup machines, such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps, spot-welding machines, riveting machines, milling machines, or broaches, to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal-cutting operation on assembly line Lays out reference points, fabricates, and assembles according to blueprints and engineering specifications Scribes cutting and bending lines on prefabricated parts and cuts, bends, and trims parts according to layout Uses hand files or portable grinders to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together Installs and tests moving parts May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor May be part of a crew and assist skilled operators in performance of skilled function May work at bench as member of assembly group that processes or assembles one or two specific parts and passes unit to another worker May assist with shipping and receiving May repair units that fail to meet specifications

OTHER DUTIES

Performs all other duties as required Responsible for cleaning work area

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

High School diploma or GED required
