New Ventures
New Ventures is focused on developing new diabetes systems, products and solutions in an inorganic, accelerator environment. Our team is unique in that we can adapt to a variety of business, patient and marketplace needs that span the entire spectrum of our product portfolio today and in the future. Our mission drives the need to be a highly skilled, flexible, extremely efficient, versatile, and agile in medical device product development for the benefit of our patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in need of intensive insulin therapy.
In this exciting hands-on role, the Assembly Operator II will work closely with the Operations and Quality teams in the assembly of implantable pumps and related devices. You will be part of a dedicated, experienced, and high-performing team at our Northridge, CA site. At this facility, the assembler role is responsible for the day-to-day production and packaging of components used in our medical devices. You will be a key member of a manufacturing team that is dedicated to safety, quality, continuous improvement and achieving production goals.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
You will be working in a clean room manufacturing environment that requires you to wear personal protective equipment including eyewear, ear plugs, hair net and protective gowning.

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
  • Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
  • Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s).
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Requires minimum of 2 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience. May require vocational training and/or certification .
Nice to Have
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following skills, experiences, and certifications.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or manufacturing in highly regulated industry/environment.
  • Medtronic company experience.
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and technical competency.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in presenting information effectively and collaborating with different cross functional groups to achieve work objectives.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$39,200.00 - $58,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
