We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented GA2 Assembler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced generators manufacturing facility.
As the principal supplier of power distribution and prime, standalone power generation equipment, the Assembler is responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of Diesel and natural gas-powered generator solutions in a cost effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. Under the direction of the Assembly Supervisor, the Assembler will validate materials prior to beginning assembly, review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerance, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, and comply with all quality, safety, work rules and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manufacture electro-mechanical power generators to specified work orders by following engineering and electrical drawings, schematics, manufacturing assembly instructions and standard operating procedures, and in conjunction with lean manufacturing principles.
Build, assemble, maintain, program, and adjust electrical control panels, breaker panels, and transformers.
Assemble and inspect electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, and soldering.
Perform mechanical assembly and installation of electronic devices consisting of wire harnesses, circuit boards, power supplies, product labels, hardware, and various components into chassis.
Assemble components to specifications through the use and operation of standard and specialized hand tools, as well as power and air-impact tools to install, fit, and adjust parts within established guidelines and under supervision to achieve the required specifications, as well as use overhead cranes to move products and equipment.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprint drawings and diagrams, work orders, or reports in order to build assigned products. Verify dimensions, tolerances, and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, Atlas torque machine.
Run, route and bundle the terminals/wires, as well as crimp and connect pins to connectors, connector termination, as well as inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits along with some rework.
Solder electrical components, and position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.
Repair, install, and inspect basic mechanical, electrical and automotive parts and periodically adjust or repair electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and analyze all electrical and mechanical equipment, which may include Atlas PLC's.
Grease or lubricate parts as necessary or required.
Pull and assemble parts inventory for electromechanical equipment.
Drill and spot-face bolt holes and tap or ream bolt holes with drill presses.
Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections and adjust parts if necessary.
Identify assembly problems, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources, and correct defects.
Verify accuracy and quality of work in accordance with established control procedures
Initiate and perform any cleaning, line clearance or maintenance of equipment on the manufacturing line.
Perform multiple different assembly operations as documented by training records.
Regular and predictable on-site job attendance along with the ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
Engage in the reduction and/or elimination of non-value added work throughout the organization. Work with direction from the line leader, as well as with limited supervision, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Frequently interacts with factory supply chain, procurement, production, warehousing, and project engineering departments as needed
Meets production deadlines and completes all work by performing appropriate, safe, and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job.
Contribute to the maintenance of the Quality Management System through the correct execution of its functions and/or activities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
Consistently follows and adheres to all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
Competences, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Valid Driver's License required.
One year or more experience working in a manufacturing and mechanical environment required.
Able to read and understand production schedule and accept verbal direction to successfully complete procedures and assigned tasks, required.
Detail-oriented for completing required paperwork and information systems inputs with a high degree of accuracy.
Job experience in an industrial production environment with the related safety training preferred.
Good communication skills, bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus

Required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; frequently move around workstation/area and production floor, using PPE all the time; position self to access different areas and angles of the product being assembled, to include stooping, bending, and crouching.
Lifts, pushes/pulls, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. May have to move object from one location to another.
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and steal toes shoes usage required.
Frequently use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms to operate equipment and install components or move parts/equipment.
Visual acuity is necessary to do the job safely and effectively. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision work to perform inspections and in reading schematics, peripheral, profundity, blueprints, and instructions.
Must be able to distinguish and ensure product quality in a fast-paced production environment.
Must be able to identify, prioritize, and meet multiple expectations for area of responsibility.
Work Environment:
This position works in a non-air-conditioned/heated warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and some exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and gases.
