Discovering your exciting role

An entry-level position in a production environment with some prior experience required. Responsibilities will include but not limited to assembling control devices (ie. Butterfly, Volume and Slide gate Dampers) to meet the specification. Some previous knowledge of FTI's control device offerings is helpful but not required.

Other duties and related work may be assigned as necessary. Under close supervision you'll be introduced to a series of duties and responsibilities with increasing complexity to include but are not limited to the following:



Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all components are free from imperfections and meet required specifications. Gather and organize necessary materials to support efficient workflow. Follow detailed instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to accurately complete assigned tasks. Operate a variety of tools--including punches, hammers, wrenches, cutters, clamps, calipers, pliers, and other electric hand tools--in a safe and effective manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with 5S principles. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to clarify project requirements, timelines, and special considerations; may be assigned to work in other areas as needed. Pursue continuous learning and skill development to enhance job performance and technical proficiency. Perform other duties as required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



Must be able to speak, read and write fluent English Ability to read and understand work instructions, technical documents, safety policies, company policies and procedures. Perform computations with basic math skills including adding and subtracting of whole numbers and fractions. Can accurately read a tape measure to 1/16". Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure. Previous experience is a plus but not required. Must be able to safely operate hand tools.

Frequent standing, sitting, and use of hands in this support role is required Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, and ability to adjust focus Occasionally perform physical activities including lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)

The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the Manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. Safety glasses and other required safety protection should be worn when out in the manufacturing facility, which may vary depending on the area you are working/visiting.
