Job Summary
Position will be posted until filled. Hiring managers will actively review applications, scheduling interviews, and hiring candidates as they see fit.
- Assist in a variety of engineering related activities in support of design, construction, or maintenance of City of Sioux Falls' public infrastructure.
- Specific duties may include participating on survey crew, materials testing, project inspection, GIS data editing, traffic counting, data collection and verification, traffic sign installation, traffic signal maintenance, or other engineering related activities.
- Duties are primarily performed outdoors and are physical in nature.
- This is a 2026 summer internship
- Students enrolled in an Engineering curriculum, or related field, as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school.
- Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
