Vaxcom Services LLC (A Parsons company) is looking for a cleared security professional to join our team as a part-time armed security officer.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Working eight (8) hour shifts that will include weekends and holidays at a 24/7 classified facility. Please note this is a part-time position.
• Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the facility have the proper identification.
• Responds to situations at the facility using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy.
• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
• Maintains proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
• Performing screening procedures including the use of Handheld Magnetometers (HHMD) and Walk-through Magnetometers (WTMD).

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• This position requires a current/active SECRET security clearance.
• Strong observational and situational awareness skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Qualified candidates must possess at least 2 years experience in either Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, Security, or the United States Armed Forces.
• Meet minimum qualification standards with the Glock 17 pistol, Shotgun, and Rifle.
• First Aid/CPR/AED or other emergency response certifications.
• FEMA Courses 100, 200, 700 and 800

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous commercial armed security officer experience working with access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and other related physical security measures/processes.
• Previous experience working in a classified facility.
• Possess Maryland Guard Card and Handgun Qualification License (HQL).
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and handle difficult situations professionally.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary Range: $29.95 - $52.40
