Armed Security Officer

Duties

Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Control access points by verifying credentials and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, conflicts, or safety hazards. Conduct thorough inspections of individuals and property to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders during incidents or investigations. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security breaches for record-keeping and analysis. Enforce company policies and safety protocols to ensure compliance across all personnel on site. Utilize CCTV footage and other surveillance tools to monitor activity around the clock effectively. Provide first aid or CPR when necessary to assist injured persons until professional help arrives. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact to de-escalate potential threats or disputes.

Requirements

Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred. Valid PERC card. Valid credentials are required - (Firearm Card, Con-seal Carrier License, 40 Hours course Training completed . Valid certification in first aid and CPR from recognized organizations. Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and decisively while maintaining professionalism. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and procedures to protect assets. Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods as required. Knowledge of legal regulations related to security operations in the applicable jurisdiction. Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed. Additional qualifications such as law enforcement experience or military background are considered advantageous.
