Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. You are expected to prevent, detect, and report criminal acts and enforce client's rules, regulations, and wishes. As part of our team, you should always respond to client concerns promptly, courteously, and professionally. Your primary function as a Security Officer is Safety, to Protect the Property and the Interests of our clients, and to be Expert Witnesses. Security Officers are to protect the clients and S.T.A.R.S.'s property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Clients depend upon you to perform a variety of Security Procedures (i.e. preventing and stopping fights, preventing theft, graffiti from being added to property, keeping unauthorized persons off property, etc.); therefore, you must always remain alert and be aware of your surroundings.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas to detect criminal activity and enforce laws. Investigate suspicious activities, persons, and vehicles. Interview victims, witnesses, suspects, and informants to obtain information about crimes. Prepare written reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage. Respond to emergency calls to provide assistance in critical situations. Search individuals for contraband items such as drugs or weapons. Apprehend violators by using physical force or other legal means. Provide testimony in court regarding investigations conducted or evidence collected. Maintain proficiency in firearms use through regular training sessions at a shooting range. Perform surveillance using basic, static, mobile foot and vehicle, advanced surveillance and personal security techniques. Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to prevent, reduce and detect criminal activity and responded to emergency situations requiring law enforcement intervention; monitored and enforced traffic laws and ordinances and issued warnings and citations for traffic violations.

Experience

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV systems. Familiarity with conflict management strategies and first aid protocols. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
