Duties

Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and identify potential threats or irregularities. Respond promptly to security breaches or emergencies, including medical incidents or conflicts, utilizing first aid or CPR as needed. Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts with professionalism and tact to de-escalate situations effectively. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents, providing detailed reports and support as required. Conduct thorough inspections of premises, including visual checks of fences, gates, and perimeter security measures. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incident reports, shift handovers, and access records for accountability purposes. Assist in loss prevention initiatives by identifying theft or vandalism attempts and implementing preventative measures. Stay current with security protocols and certifications such as first aid, CPR, surveillance techniques, and law enforcement practices to ensure compliance and preparedness.

Skills

Proven experience in security roles with an emphasis on armed security operations. Strong knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Certification in first aid and CPR to provide immediate assistance during medical emergencies. Background in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable for understanding legal procedures and tactical response strategies. Familiarity with loss prevention methods to identify potential theft or vandalism activities proactively. Ability to handle stressful situations decisively while maintaining professionalism at all times.
