Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role requires a high level of responsibility, integrity, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. The Armed Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and enforcing security protocols to prevent loss and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to observe activity and respond promptly to suspicious behavior Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or conflicts, utilizing conflict management skills Provide first aid or CPR when necessary until emergency services arrive Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations Conduct thorough inspections of premises to identify safety hazards or security vulnerabilities

Experience

Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is preferred Certifications in first aid, CPR, or related emergency response training are highly desirable Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous Demonstrated ability to handle conflict situations professionally and effectively Knowledge of security protocols, loss prevention techniques, and legal regulations related to security operations Strong observational skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
