Armed DC Special Police Officer ($22.00/hr)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: This position is a roving patrol position in Washington, DC. The responsibilities may include: Monitoring and controlling access to the property
Enforcement of Client and Company policies and procedures.
Observation and reporting of fire and safety hazards.
Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building.
Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client, and management as appropriate.
Interaction with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, and the general public.
Perform other related duties and collateral responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older (mandatory)
• Must be US Citizen or legal resident (mandatory)
• Must have GED / High School Diploma or higher (mandatory)
• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in security or law enforcement
• Must have current DC Armed SPO Security Guard License (mandatory)
• Must not have criminal record or be on parole (mandatory)
  Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening (mandatory)
• Must have current CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Must have current Baton or Pepper spray certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Ability to walk / stand / and climb stairs for extended periods of time
• Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language
• Ability to interact courteously with the general public
• Must possess reliable means of transportation
• Must have working and reliable telephone number
