Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc. is excited to announce an opportunity to join our leadership team as the Area IV Agency on Aging Program Director! This full-time position offers an annual salary of

$65,250

, plus Rocky's generous benefit package.

As the Program Director, you'll lead a dedicated network of employees, contractors, and volunteers serving older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers in Broadwater, Gallatin, Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Meagher, and Park Counties. You'll help ensure that Area IV's services promote choice, dignity, independence, and engagement for older Montanans. This role includes program development, long-term planning, compliance with state and federal rules, alignment with key aging plans, and participation in statewide and national initiatives. You'll also supervise seven (7) talented staff members and help shape the future of aging services in Montana.

Knowledge of

:

Management practices, including setting goals, priorities, and developing work plans;

Social service delivery programs for older adults;

Fiscal management, budgeting, reporting, and tracking program funds;

Computer systems and the ability to learn new software;

Supervisory and personnel management practices

Ability to

:

Develop and direct human service programs;

Interpret and apply state and federal regulations;

Communicate effectively;

Lead and support program staff;

Represent the Agency on Aging publicly;

Evaluate and improve program performance;

Build strong relationships with the Governing Board, Advisory Council, service providers, and coworkers.

Education and Experience:



The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a human service field, with some course work in the program administrative area. Three years' experience working with senior citizens' programs and two years of program administration and supervision is preferred. Must have a reliable vehicle with current driver's license and be approved as a driver by Rocky's insurance carrier as outlined in Rocky's Driving and Vehicle Usage Policy. Occasional travel in hazardous weather conditions may be required. Must pass a criminal background check and be available for some out of town/county/state travel.
