GF Hotels & Resorts and the Marriott Tacoma Downtown have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Area Director of Sales & Marketing. As an Area DOSM, you will be based at the Marriott Tacoma Downtown and will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies across multiple hotels to maximize revenue and profitability
We need someone ready to be the voice of our brand and manage the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. Responsibilities:

• Grow customer loyalty while also generating new business by nurturing long-term relationships
• Consult with sales managers and stakeholders to evaluate the company's performance
• Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets
• Prepare accurate and complete sales reports documenting marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing plans
• Analyze market trends to determine pricing that balances costs, competition, and supply and demand

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
• 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
• Must have a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or hospitality
• Computer skills are needed for this position, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Multi unit hotel sales experience preferred
