Under the supervision of the Tribal historic Preservation Officer, the incumbent oversee the daily operations and management of the MPTN archaeological laboratories, ensuring that all lab functions run efficiently and effectively, including analyzing, cataloging, and preserving archaeological materials. Responsible for developing and enforce lab policies, supervise lab staff, coordinate research activities, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. Responsible for providing lab management, data analysis, creates and maintains internship programs for college students within anthropological fields. Bachelor's degree, MA, or higher degree in Archaeology or a related field required. Must have six years of experience working in archaeological lab with at least two (2) of those years in a supervisors or leadership role. This position requires extensive knowledge of standard archaeological methodology, as well being open to indigenous archaeological philosophy. Must possess the ability to collaborate with researchers, students, and to promote and maintain external archaeological partnerships.
