ARA Intelligent Automation & Analytics - Sr. Manager

The Intelligent Automation & Analytics team is looking for highly motivated and skilled professionals to work in a teaming environment with exposure to firm leaders. This assignment provides an opportunity for individuals to create a lasting impact on Deloitte and our service line. Professionals must have a keen interest in digital process innovation and working across functions to help reengineer and automate how our clients operate their business.

As part of the Intelligent Automation & Analytics team, you will benefit from exposure to cross industry clients, cross functional leadership, thought leaders, and LCSPs as they work together to grow our business. Additionally, significant skills will be developed related to the application of digital technologies and principles that can be applied to various forms of projects.

Work you\'ll do

The Deloitte Controllership Transformation team works closely with purpose-built automation technologies in the market to help our clients improve accounting processes, build / configure accounting automation solutions, and develop governance/controls around these tools. We help organizations effectively navigate business risks and opportunities-from strategic, and financial risks to operational, and regulatory risks-to gain competitive advantage. We apply our experience in ongoing business operations and corporate lifecycle events to help clients become stronger and more resilient. Our market-leading teams help clients embrace complexity to accelerate performance, disrupt through innovation, and lead in their industries.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of engagements
  • Identifying, preparing and participating in proposals for new clients and projects
  • Staying connected to market trends to think through future innovative solutions
  • Guiding integration of overseas resources to drive efficient execution
  • Developing, maintaining and leveraging internal contacts across Deloitte businesses
  • Strengthening client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution and a strategic approach to service delivery
  • Analyzing, manipulating, and managing data to deliver meaningful insights necessary to help companies of all sizes and across multiple industries address regulatory and business challenges
  • Working with clients to understand business challenges and identify solutions to drive desired outcomes
  • Using process knowledge and expertise to identify how advancing technology can transform a client\'s business
  • Supporting pursuits and marketplace eminence through external presentations
  • Assisting clients in identifying automation opportunities and technology solutions to transform their processes
  • Assisting clients in drafting current and future state process flows and capabilities
  • Documenting RPA (i.e. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate) process qualifications and process definitions during the assessment and beginning phases of implementation
  • Providing subject matter expertise to the design, development, and implementation of the service line
  • Identifying viable potential proof of concepts to expand our service offering and be able to communicate the evolution process from idea to deployment
  • Development and deployment of dashboards utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Extracting and cleansing data sets obtained from clients in order to connect to a dashboard (i.e. Tableau/Power BI)
  • Hosting and maintaining dashboards via data visualization tools for clients who request analytics as a service
Qualifications

Required:
  • 8+ years of related work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and supervising teams
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Experience in designing/building technology solutions such as RPA, ETL, Analytics, Consolidation and other automation solutions
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/ assignments/ responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • 8+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Creative mindset, with a strong interest in the use and application of emerging technologies and solving problems creative
  • Ability to visualize solutions to current processes and ability to think \xe2\x80\x9coutside the box\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply technical accounting knowledge to new scenarios, as applicable
  • Identify and address challenges before they occur
  • Confidently engage with senior leaders
  • Work in cross-functional teaming environments with professionals across the firm
  • Learn from failure, reassess goals, and refocus on tasks that advance the mission of developing the service line
  • Familiarity with other Deloitte audit technology applications, leading robotic process automation technologies, data visualization and analytic technologies, including those recently released or under development by our Innovation group
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Reasonable familiarity with current Accounting & Reporting Advisory service offerings
  • Strong leader, willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Robust communication skills - written and verbal
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Ability to oversee the day to day operations and progress of deliverable/application development
  • Can provide real-time coaching, feedback, and guidance of daily activities to staff and can facilitate coordination efforts across functions and business areas
  • Willingness to learn and gain an understanding in the use and application of all technologies within the Intelligent Automation & Analytics space (Robotic Process Automation, Analytics, Audit technologies)
  • Solid understanding of the service delivery process, related workflow and normal client interactions (e.g., document & data sharing, use of outside specialists, PBE\'s, reporting, standard communications, etc.)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,490 to $267,280.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
