About Us:

Aptiva Health is a rapidly expanding multi-specialty group with locations throughout Kentucky. We are currently looking to hire a full time Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Job Summary:

Our growing organization has an immediate need for a full-time professional, detail oriented and knowledgeable. The AR Specialist will be responsible for assisting the revenue cycle management department. Responsibilities and Duties:

Review unpaid claims and research reasons for delay in payment. Initiate collection follow-up of unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payer. Research, appeal and resolve claim partial payments and denials with Payers. Process appeals by gathering information and resubmitting claims. Communicate payment or denial trending issues/concerns that impact revenue to leadership. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and Payer representatives. Contact insurance companies and attorneys to work out any discrepancies and obtain bill status in order to obtain proper reimbursement. Review outstanding accounts receivables for assigned Payers and master aging report. Process any adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

1+ year of experience in medical office setting preferred. 1+ year of Accounts Receivable experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent written and oral communication skills.
