Position Summary



Join our Revenue Cycle Management team as an AR Recovery Specialist and play a pivotal role in optimizing cash flow and minimizing aging receivables. This role is critical to driving timely and accurate reimbursement and minimizing aging accounts receivable balances. We're looking for a results-driven professional with deep expertise in accounts receivable recovery within the healthcare or DME/HME industry, proficiency in Brightree RCM, and a track record of successfully leading offshore teams. In this high-impact role, you'll drive revenue recovery initiatives while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across domestic and international teams.

Key Responsibilities



Monitor and resolve outstanding accounts receivable, prioritizing high-value and aging accounts to accelerate payment timelines.

Leverage Brightree RCM to document workflows, track claim status, and maintain detailed AR activity records.

Analyze AR aging trends and root causes of payment delays; implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

Manage complex claim escalations, including denials, appeals, and payer disputes, ensuring maximum reimbursement.

Lead, mentor, and manage offshore AR recovery teams, providing clear direction, regular coaching, and performance evaluations.

Establish and monitor KPIs for both onshore and offshore operations to drive accountability

Partner cross-functionally with billing, posting, and customer service departments to eliminate bottlenecks and streamline recovery processes.

Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards.

Develop and deliver comprehensive AR aging reports, recovery forecasts, and performance dashboards to senior leadership.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements to improve collection efficiency.

Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, federal/state regulations, and payer-specific billing requirements.

Stay current on industry trends, payer policy changes, and reimbursement updates.

Qualifications



3+ years of accounts receivable recovery experience within healthcare, DME/HME, or related medical industries.

Hands-on proficiency with Brightree RCM is required.

Proven experience managing, training, and developing offshore teams is required.

Strong command of healthcare billing cycles, insurance claims processing, denial management, and appeals.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting).

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications



Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulatory frameworks.

Previous supervisory or team leader experience in an AR role.

Familiarity with payer-specific billing guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers).

Experience with denial trend analysis and corrective action planning.
