Backed by some of the biggest names in music and growing fast, we\xe2\x80\x99re seeking a music-obsessed A&R Coordinator for an unprecedented challenge: finding the best needles in a constantly-growing haystack.


Role Overview
With over 10 million original songs created by Boomy users, the velocity of new songs is only increasing. As the A&R Coordinator, your job is to discover the best songs on Boomy and find ways to help the artists behind those songs grow. Some songs are already fantastic, earning thousands of streams and empowering a new breed of music creators. Others are still on the way to greatness, waiting for the right person with the tools and support to help them get there. That\xe2\x80\x99s where you come in!

You will be joining the A&R team within Boomy\xe2\x80\x99s Music Department and will be reporting to the A&R Manager. This is a hybrid, part-time role (20 hours per week) with flexible hours and room to grow into a full-time position. While you\xe2\x80\x99ll be able to work flexible hours, you must be available to work in-person with other members of the A&R team in Brooklyn at least 1 day a week. All other hours are flexible with options to work remotely or in-person.

Responsibilities

• Listen to a large catalog of music made by Boomy creators
• Curate standout Boomy songs for playlists, sync opportunities, and more
• Advise highly engaged Boomy creators on how to grow as artists and develop their music and social presence
• Run workshops and contests for Boomy creators
• Identify standout Boomy artists and build relationships with them, primarily through Discord and email
• Update internal spreadsheets and external playlists

Knowledge, skills, and abilities you bring to the role

• Deep knowledge of music consumption trends (i.e., what people are listening to and why across genres)
• Familiarity with music promotion strategies backed by an extensive knowledge of the pop culture and social media landscape surrounding music
• Basic understanding of music production
• A good ear with the ability to accurately identify potential in songs and artists
• The ability and willingness to be a creative self-starter\xe2\x80\x93you are comfortable completing complex tasks with minimal supervision and can create and take action on new ideas for Boomy independently
• Detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable with managing complex spreadsheets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong auditory and visual aesthetic sensibility
• Not required but are a plus: Knowledge of audio engineering, social content creation, graphic design, and/or video editing

Minimum Qualifications

• Music curation experience
• Hand-on experience working directly with artists and creators

Preferred Qualifications

• Music industry experience
• Experience making music in a variety of DAWs
• Relationships with artists, tastemakers, and industry professionals

Salary

$20 - $20 per hour
