The Aquatics and Athletic Facilities Division of the M-NCPPC is seeking an Aquatics Facility Manager for the Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex (SAARC). Our ideal candidate will provide facility management, programming, and supervisory support. This includes monitoring and assisting with the oversight of day-to-day operations of a year-round high-volume facility.

The hiring range for this position will be $57,062 to midpoint of the advertised salary range and it will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Examples of Important Duties

Year-Round Aquatic Facility Management
Assist with the development of programs, maintenance, and operational goals and procedures
Participates in planning and implementing comprehensive community-based aquatics programs to include swim lessons, water fitness, lifeguard and instructor training courses and events
Recruits, selects, trains and evaluates seasonal/intermittent and volunteer staff for the facility and facility programs. Plans, schedules and assigns work
Coordinate in-service training and safety auditing program for assigned facility
Coordinate day-to-day maintenance and facility repairs
Participates in budget formulation and execution of an aquatic facility operating budget: monitors and tracks expenditures for programs; increase revenue generation through programming and rentals; prepare quarterly budget projections
Communicate with various cross-functional teams within assigned complex and in other divisions to properly administer various aquatics-related programs and procedures
Assist with office administration and organization
Research and evaluate internal and external aquatics programming, utilizing this information to develop new initiatives or to restructure current programs
Other duties and special projects, as assigned
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. On-call 24 hours a day.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation, Recreation Management, Facility Management, Education, Business Administration, Physical Education, Communication, Leisure Services, or any related field.
One (1) year of responsible professional aquatic facility experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total five (5) years.
Valid driver's license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations. Driver's license must be unencumbered by restrictions, revocations, suspensions or points that could limit the employee's ability to drive Commission vehicles or perform driving duties required of the position.
Contingent upon area of assignment, some positions in this class may require: (a) valid operating license (e.g., county pool operator) as appropriate; (b) First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications; or (c) basic and/or instructor level certifications as related to assignment (e.g., Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, Pool Operator).
Preferred Qualifications:
American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR/AED and First Aid
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
American Red Cross Instructor and/or Instructor Trainer Certification
