Trainee Residential Garage Door Installer

As a trainee, you will receive extensive expert training in the areas of garage door and operator installation and services. All you bring is star quality and eagerness to learn and willingness to work hard for a new career. Mechanical aptitude and skill with hand & power tools necessary. A construction background preferred, and light carpentry skills needed. Good professional image and excellent communication skills are keys to success in this field. Trainees are paid hourly (start at $23.00/hour) . After successfully completing our apprenticeship training program (which is generally about 6-12 months), you will be promoted to a Residential Garage Door Installer and will embark on a new in demand career. Installer compensation is based on an industry piece rate (we pay top piece rate) , so the more experience you have the more you make. An installer generally makes between $50,000 - 65,000k per year in the beginning and can earn more with experience. The successful candidates will possess the requirements listed above likes autonomy, likes a variety each day, enjoy meeting new people, problem-solving and finding solutions. The position requires a valid Oregon/Washington driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical requirements of the position include the ability to frequently work from a ladder, work overhead, and lift 60 lbs. frequently with occasional up to 80 lbs. We are a drug-free company.
