Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, construction site operations, and mechanical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in plumbing, construction, and related trades, with opportunities for skill development and career growth in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assist experienced plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites and remodeling projects Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and HVAC systems Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment under supervision Support the installation of pipes, fixtures, and fittings following safety standards and project specifications Aid in the assembly, remodeling, and maintenance of plumbing components across various projects Participate in site preparation, cleanup, and ensuring a safe work environment at all times Develop skills in blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting plumbing issues Gain exposure to field service tasks including pipe threading, system testing, and basic math calculations for measurements

Requirements

Basic knowledge or experience in construction or related trades preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and construction site safety practices is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in plumbing systems and schematics reading Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and system layouts Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work on-site in various weather conditions Prior maintenance person experience or carpentry background is advantageous Valid driver's license preferred for field service tasks Commitment to safety protocols and continuous learning in the plumbing trade
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
