is hiring a motivated and reliable

Apprentice Plumber

to join our team across all divisions, including

Service, Repair, and New Construction

. We are looking for an eager learner who is ready to work hard alongside our experts, master every aspect of the trade, and build a long-term career in the industry. This is a critical support role for a hands-on professional looking to grow into a well-rounded Journeyman.

This position focuses on learning the trade from every angle, ensuring you develop technical excellence and versatility:

Installation & Repair Support:

Assist Journeymen with everything from rough-ins on new builds to diagnosing and repairing leaks in existing homes.

Learn Code & Diagnostics:

Gain a working knowledge of plumbing codes, troubleshooting techniques, and system maintenance.

Job Site & Truck Readiness:

Handle material staging, maintain truck inventory, and ensure tools are prepped for both service calls and construction sites.

Skill Development:

Hands-on training in piping, fixture installation, drain cleaning, and water heater service.
While the focus is on learning, you will play a direct role in the company's success:

Reliability & Work Ethic:

Showing up on time and ready to work to keep construction schedules moving and service windows met.

Customer Service Excellence:

Acting as a professional representative of Hickman Plumbing when entering customers' homes and businesses.

Field Problem Solving:

Learning how to identify issues quickly to maximize daily efficiency and profitability.
What We Require

Valid Apprentice Registration

(Or the ability to obtain one immediately--we will help you with the process).

Eagerness to Learn:

No previous plumbing experience is strictly required, though exposure to construction or mechanical work is a plus.

Physical Ability:

Ability to lift heavy materials (water heaters, pipe), use power tools, and work in tight spaces or various weather conditions.

Reliability:

Demonstrated commitment to safety, attendance, and following instructions.

Valid driver's license

and clean driving record.
