Duties

Assist experienced plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites. Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Support the assembly and installation of piping systems, fixtures, and HVAC components. Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of plumbing components. Participate in remodeling projects by performing maintenance tasks and maintenance person repairs as directed. Follow safety procedures diligently while working on construction sites and handling mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with construction plumbing is preferred. Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, or pipe threading is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning HVAC systems and schematics interpretation. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Good basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations. Previous experience in construction site work or maintenance person roles is advantageous. Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills such as carpentry, remodeling, or maintenance tasks.
