Position Overview

As an

Apprentice on the Groff Installation Team

, you will assist in the construction of high-quality landscape and outdoor living projects while learning the skills, standards, and processes that define Groff Landscapes.

You'll work hands-on with experienced team members, contribute to exceptional client experiences, and actively participate in training and professional development. Apprentices are expected to be engaged, communicative, and committed to continual improvement as they grow within the organization.

This role is designed as a

, with clear pathways into advanced installation, leadership, and specialty roles.

Arlington, VA (Projects throughout the surrounding region)

Position Requirements & Desired Skills

Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment Willingness to learn, receive instruction, and ask for help Strong time management and reliability Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical labor Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Landscape or construction experience preferred but

not required

Daily Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of landscape and outdoor living projects Perform work with attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship Follow all safety protocols and properly use tools and equipment Communicate clearly with Crew Leaders and team members Participate in assigned training and learning opportunities Support company culture initiatives, team meetings, and development activities Contribute ideas for personal and company improvement Deliver a professional, respectful experience for clients and teammates

Working Conditions & Hour Expectations

Monday-Friday, approximately

6:30am-4:00pm

Occasional Saturdays (less than six per year) Outdoor work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and dust Physically active role requiring stamina and attention to safety

Company uniforms are provided. We want you to feel comfortable & protected while maintaining a professional appearance on job sites.
