Overview: Leads Appointment & Referral Clerks by overseeing schedules and daily workflow issues. Monitors reports pertaining to referrals and any daily follow ups. Works cooperatively with the Purchased Referred Care Manager and Managed Care Analyst. Responsibilities:
Oversees daily activities of Appointment & Referral Clerks, providing guidance and instruction as needed.
Answers telephones and greets visitors. Provides customer service, directs calls, responds to inquiries, and provides guidance to patients.
Runs daily reports for unscheduled referrals.
Authorizes STAT/urgent appointments for patients.
Signs Letters of Agreements with outside Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Provides instruction to external providers regarding Purchased Referred Care.
Assists Purchased Referred Care Manager in establishing and implementing goals.
Performs other job-related activities as requested.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
3-5 years of experience in scheduling medical referrals
