ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.

We are seeking Application Software Developers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy Ships Self Defense Test Ship in Wall, NJ.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Work in a collaborative team located in AL, NJ, CO, CT, and CA using agile software development methodology
• Participates in software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review, and software acceptance reviews.
• Researches problems and develops solutions
• Implements software updates and fixes in the SSDS software repository
• Performs unit and integration testing of software for verification of system performance and behavioral requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related engineering discipline
• US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• 2-5 years\' experience in software development or maintenance
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team
• Experience developing software with Java or C++
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with Object Oriented design/development including the employment of Design Patterns to facilitate the utilization of software insulation techniques and plugins
• Experience with Linux and UNIX development and test environments
• Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse or VSCode
• Experience with UML syntax and its use in Model-based tools like Rapsody
• Experience with Git version control system
• Experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA or Trello
• Experience with large scale software systems.

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with Fire Control in processing in the Aegis or SSDS combat system
• XUnit architecture testing fir unit testing like Google Test, jUnit, cppUnit Lite.
• Tcl/Tk
• Ada
• Atlassian tool suite including Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence
• Data Distribution Service (DDS)
• DevSecOps and Automation tool experience like SonarQube and Jenkins
